PERSONAL TESTIMONY HOW NIKKEN PRODUCTS HAVE HELPED ME

I am married to my wife and bride of 30 years. we have two sons, our oldest son Jason has graced us with a Grandson in order to keep the family name going. He is a Sound Engineer in Vancouver BC.
Our youngest son Alfred is a special needs adult, stocks grocery store shelves and does some volunteer work.

We have been Independent Distributors for Nikken for 5 years now and quite enjoy helping out people where the Medical Doctors have not been able to do so and making some money in the process.
Nikken is a very successful 30 year old Japanese network Marketing Company.
I personally had a dramatic life altering experience with the Magnetic Products. When we first joined Nikken, I was still recovering from my fifth whiplash car accident ( none of them were my fault). Despite going to a good Chiropractor I was not able to turn my neck properly from side to side. Then I tried the Mag Steps, magnetic Insoles,I immediately got an unexpected energy boost. I then tried the lower back relax pad, I tried it because I had popped my Sacri-iliac 3 months before, to my amazement within a couple of hours of placing the pad on my lower back,I could feel the vertebrae snapping back into place in my neck and I was able to turn my neck back and forth like I did before the last accident.Four hours later I was able to get relief from ny Sacri-iliac discomfort.
WARNING not everyone gets relief as fast as I did. The magnetic pads do not cure anything what they do is relax the body from the stress of pain and the magnificent body will heal itself

ATTACK ON THE FOOD CHAIN: HOW SAFE IS YOUR WATER?

Hypocrites said many years ago. "Let Thy Food Be Thy Medicine"

Thomas Edison said, " The doctor of the future will give no medicine,
but will interest his patient in the care of the human frame, in
diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."

This article is written with the enormous assistance of Dr. Vic
Herlacher. He had a medical practice in Internal and Preventative
Medicine for twenty three years. He has written several articles on
exercise, nutrition and water. One of those articles
entitled, "Water - Its Effect on Health" appeared in the American
Family Physician Journal in Oct. 1994.

DEFINITION OF THIS POLLUTION OF OUR WATER SUPPLY

When you think of your health, what comes to mind? The air you
breathe? The food you eat? How about the water you drink every day?
Consider this: Many people make a concerted effort to eat well-
balanced meals with good healthy, body building nutrients and vitamin
supplements. They jog and exercise regularly all to keep the physical
body in good shape. They get good physical rest or as much as their
schedule permits. But, then they wash down all these good efforts
with water from the kitchen water tap that has been deliberately
fouled with -- chemicals, salts, asbestos, heavy metals -- the list
goes on and on.

Doesn t it just make sense to be consistent, that you need -- good
food, good exercise, good rest and good pure drinking water?

How many times have we heard that drinking water is good for us? The
A.M.A. [American Medical Association] recommends adults should drink
64 fluid ounces every day and children half as much. Therefore, we
need to consume a minimum of eight glasses of water every day. Water
is an essential nutrient--- necessary for maintaining body
temperature, transporting nutrients throughout the body, keeping
joints moist, digesting food, ridding the body of waste products, and
cooling the body. So how much water is in the body? You may be
surprised to learn that the body is composed of 60-70% water. In
fact, water is so important to the body that we cannot survive
without it.

Every day of our lives, we turn the water tap to get a drink of
water. We tell ourselves that in the United States, water is
basically safe to drink. We reassure ourselves that contaminated
drinking water is only in foreign or undeveloped countries.

The Environmental Protection Agency [E.P.A.] has set standards for
more than 80 contaminants that may occur in drinking water because
chronic, long-term exposure can pose a threat to human health.
Although your local water supplier must comply with federally
mandated water drinking standards, don t assume that water coming out
of your facet is without concern. Many individuals do not realize
that the local water treatment facilities have only to ensure that
the water leaving their facilities meet State Health Standards for
drinking water. What might happen if the interconnecting miles of 50-
year-old water pipe between the water treatment plant and the
consumer is not covered by state health regulations for drinking
water? The old pipes and water fixtures through which the water
passes can leach hazardous substances to your drinking water. These
include asbestos, and dangerous heavy metals cadmium and lead.
Consumer Reports has also found that many disease outbreaks traceable
to public water suppliers are due to contamination of water after it
leaves the processing plant.

Across North America, reports about contaminated water occur
frequently. Incidents that make news, however, are only a part of the
problem. North Americans can be ingesting any number of different
contaminants without even knowing it. Concern about the quality of
drinking water is growing. Many residents believe that their tap
water quality is poor or only fair at best. Let us look at some of
the article titles and reports appearing in Newsweek Magazines,
Consumer Reports and ABC National Network News during the past
several years.

"Time Bomb in Our Tap Water", Reader s Digest, Jan. 1985

There was a special extensive report in the L.A. Weekly Oct. 11, 1985
on "L.A. s Troubled Water---Toxic Chemicals in Our Water----The
Unreported Story--- A Special Investigation of the Dangerous
Carcinogens in L.A. s Drinking Water."

The U.S. News and World Report, July 29, 1991 pictures a drooping
flower in a glass of water, entitled "Is Your Water Safe? The
Dangerous State of Drinking Water in America."

Probably one of the most dramatic illustrations of our water problem
appeared in the September 22, 1980 issue of time magazine
entitled, "The Poisoning of America---Those Toxic Chemical Wastes."
On the cover of this issue is a picture of a person partially
submerged under water. The part of the body under the water appeared
as a skeleton.

This same picture appeared on the cover of Time Magazine dated
October 14, 1985 entitled, "The Poisoning of America 85 --- Toxic
Wastes." This image shows the same person more submerged under the
water. His face shows beads of perspiration and more of his skeleton
appears, as well as the skeleton of a fish in the water. The whole
key to this understanding is that our water contamination is getting
worse.

At the start of 1980 s more than 3,000 different organic chemicals
had already been identified in American Drinking Water. Most of these
are likely contributors to the ever-increasing rate of malignancy
among our populace. According to the World Health Organization, it is
estimated that 60-90 % of all human tumors are environmentally
induced. In the Environmental Nutrition Newsletter September, 1995,
there is an article entitled "Water, Water Everywhere---But Is It
Safe to Drink?"

According to this article, "One in Five Americans Drink Water That
Violates Federal Health Standards."

Notice that, in these articles warning about water purity, the time
period spanned was from 1980-1995. Thus, since at least 1980, 21
years ago, officials have known about the dangerous condition of our
nation's water supply. Yet, according to Dr. Herlacher, M.D., in a
conversation today [April 24, 2001], matters have not gotten any
better, but, in fact, have gotten a whole lot worse! Nothing any
government has done since 1980 has cleaned any of these problems up.

A report by the Environmental Working Group, a non-profit research
organization based in Washington D.C. says that, "about 25% of
communities provide water that contains excessive levels of
biological, chemical or radioactive contaminants, and this is just
the tip of the proverbial iceberg." Let s look at some of the
contaminants which have been found in drinking water.

LEAD

Across the continent millions of people are drinking lead- polluted
water. In fact, drinking water supplied to 30 million people in 819
cities contains unacceptable levels of lead, according to a survey by
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.] One of the factors
in the ultimate fall of the Roman Empire was lead poisoning, coming
through their water pipes. So many people began dying from long-term
lead poisoning that the strength of the entire nation was sapped!

Lead is a silent predator. You cannot smell, taste, or see lead in
drinking water. But once lead enters the body, it s there to stay,
building up in the body over the years. Those most at risk for lead
exposure are pregnant women and children.

Effects of lead poisoning in children:

* Interferes with red blood cell formation which can cause anemia.
* May reduce newborn birth weight.
* May delay mental/physical development.
* May impair mental abilities and can permanently lower I.Q.
* Effects of lead poisoning in adults:
* May raise blood pressure
* May interfere with hearing.
* Can cause anemia, kidney damage, and brain inflammation.

From the center in "Disease Control" even with low levels in the
blood, there is an association of impairment of mental abilities and
a dramatic decreasing of intelligence, attention span deficits and
learning disorders. Some of these effects have been misdiagnosed by
medical authorities as stemming from other sources than the very
water you are drinking!

CHLORINE

When municipalities began chlorinating their water supplies in the
early 1900 s as a disinfectant for cholera, typhoid fever, and other
diseases, it was hailed as one of the most effective public health
measures of the century. The addition of chlorine saved untold lives.
Years later, however, scientists discovered that chlorine can react
with organic material in water, such as decaying leaves, to produce
chemical compounds called triahalomethanes [THMs]. One of these THMs
chloroform-- is associated with an increased risk of cancer. Over
10,000 people get rectal or bladder cancer each year from chlorine
byproducts.

During the summer, when more chlorine is added to water supplies,
levels of these disinfection by-products can jump above recommended
levels. But technically, cities are rarely out of compliance because
their utilities are allowed to average test results over the entire
year. Thus, you can easily see how government regulations themselves
are many times designed to hide the problem, instead of solving it or
bringing it to public attention. In fact, you are going to be hearing
a lot from us about the fact that the government is actually
promoting the very industry they are supposed to be regulating!
Regulation is, by its very nature, confrontive, as government agents
are supposed to confront the industry that is doing something to
endanger the lives of its citizens. However, while people think this
is what is occurring, the truth is that government agencies are
acting in harmony with industry, and really does cooperate with the
offenders to keep the offense hidden.

Chlorine is widely used across the country. In fact, 75% of
households drink chlorinated water. Chlorine is also one of the most
prevalent reasons why water can taste and smell bad. Taste and smell
are the leading reasons why people choose alternatives to tap water.

PARASITES

Unfortunately, common disinfection practices by municipal water
suppliers are not necessarily sufficient to kill the parasites that
have been found in water, such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia lambia
cysts. Cryptosporidium is so resistant that studies show a cyst can
survive and spread infection even after 18 to 24 hours in a
concentrated solution of bleach. Ingesting either of these waterborne
microbes can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and other flu-like symptoms
which can be particularly hazardous for the elderly, children and
individuals with underlying diseases.

In 1993, the nation s worst outbreak of a waterborne illness struck
Milwaukee. Cryptosporidium got through the municipal water treatment
system, sickening more than 400,000. It took several days before the
cause of the problem was linked to the drinking water. The parasite
entered the system from barnyard runoff flowing into Lake Michigan
near the city water intakes during heavy rains. Residents had no
forewarning, because, like many drinking water contaminants, the
microscopic parasite is odorless and tasteless.

OTHER CONTAMINANTS

In addition to lead, chlorine, and parasites, many other contaminants
have been identified in drinking water.

RADON .Virtually everyone has some level of radon in their water and
almost no one knows it. It s a tasteless, odorless, and colorless
radioactive gas that s produced by the natural breakdown of uranium
found in many soils and rocks. There is accumulating evidence of a
relationship between the ingestion of radon in drinking water and the
increased risk of stomach cancer.

FERTILIZERS AND PESTICIDES --- Agricultural pesticides and
fertilizers have been detected in drinking water from Connecticut to
California. In 1994 study by the Environmental Working Group revealed
that 14.1 million Americans routinely consume pesticides in their
drinking water.

METHYL TERTIARY BUTYL ETHER (MTBE) -- On Jan. 16, 2000 there was a
segment on CBS "60 Minutes" which viewed this chemical as a
significant groundwater contaminant. What is MTBE? The Clean Air Act
of 1990 mandated that MTBE, which is an oxygenate, be added to our
nation s automobile gasoline to make fuel burn cleaner. However,
MTBE s effect on our drinking water is a devastatingly different
story. Just one cup of MTBE can make 5 million gallons of water
undrinkable. Now consider that MTBE is one of the most widely
produced chemicals in the United States. Four and a half billion
gallons are produced annually. The next time you are filling up at
the gas station please note the warning label on the pump: 'MTBE'.

For every 10 gallons of gasoline purchased, one gallon is pure MTBE.
MTBE is one of the many chemicals that leach into our groundwater
through leaks from underground fuel storage tanks. While the Clean
Air Act ordered that leaking tanks be replaced by 1998, fully 400,000
tanks were not covered by the order, and are still in the ground.
Worse yet, some of the newer replacement tanks have already developed
leaks.

You may wonder why MTBE is different from other leaking chemicals,
including gasoline itself. Other contaminants decompose before they
reach groundwater. MTBE doesn t decompose and tends to move into the
groundwater more quickly and is therefore more difficult to clean up.

Thus, in the name of cleaning our air, our government has allowed a
significant new source of water contaminant to develop. Government
research undoubtedly knew that MTBE was a powerful water polluter
when Congress passed the legislation, and when President Bush
[Senior] signed it; additionally, even though the facts are now a
matter of public record, the government is taking no action to
rectify the situation.

Did you know that the addition of MTBE to automobile gasoline is
primarily responsible for the dramatic rise in fuel costs? To comply
with the MTBE legislation requirements, refiners had to invest in
very expensive new equipment; many independently-owned refiners could
not afford this new equipment, so they simply went out of business,
leading to a shortage now of refining capacity nationwide. Thus, when
President Bush puts forth his plan to open new pristine reserves to
oil drilling in order to "solve" the problem of high oil prices, he
knows fully well the problem is a refining problem. Why is he not
addressing this refining capacity problem, rather than throwing out a
non-solution to us?

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS TO SOLVE THIS TERRIBLE WATER PROBLEM --

Based on people s perception, information and concerns about the
safety of their drinking water, we see several distinctly different
approaches to the problem.

Some people use one or more of the following in their home:

* Water Softeners
* Reverse Osmosis Filters
* Bottled Water
* Activated Carbon Filters
* Pressed Carbon Filters
* Distilled Water

Even though people are concerned about possible solutions there is so
much misinformation or plain lack of information. The following
information is being provided for your consideration.

Water Softeners -- These systems improve water for laundry and
bathing but do nothing to remove toxic chemicals. Water softeners
exchanges calcium, magnesium, and iron in the water for sodium. They
also remove beneficial minerals and increases sodium content in the
water. However, water softeners do absolutely nothing to remove
Trihalomethanes and other pollutants.

However, you may take a step to improve the effectiveness of a water
softener in your home, using it for the benefits it was designed to
produce. Make sure that your water softener by passes the water you
drink from the cold water faucet in your kitchen. Dr. Herlacher has
seen many patients with swelling of their ankles that he traced to
their drinking water, that passed through the water softener,
therefore increasing their consumption of sodium. In his own present
home, Dr. Herlacher found that his water softener was hooked up to
the cold water from his kitchen faucet, forcing him to re-route the
water.

REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS -- Reverse osmosis or "R/O" as it is more
commonly known, is simply a mechanical, micro-filtration system,
which removes physical particles from the water. However, it has some
significant drawbacks if you are planning to use it extensively.

These drawbacks include:

* Space consuming with filter and holding tank.
* Slow -- requiring up to 24 hrs. to filter 5 gals.
* Wasteful much of water goes down the drain.
* Performance dependent on type of impurities in tap water.
* Contaminants with light molecular structure can go through the
membrane and therefore be more concentrated. Trichlorylethene or
T.C.E. is an example
* Removes minerals essential to good health.
* Removes fluoride.
* Will remove salt, nitrates and soluble heavy metals below .45
micron in size.
* Needs professional installation.
* Expensive maintenance.

Water pressure also plays a large role in the quality of water
produced by the R/O system. Therefore, you can get different results
depending upon the time of the year! For example:

* Higher water pressure (nights and winter months) produces a better
water quality.
* Lower water pressure (days and summer months) produces a poorer
grade of water quality.

The quality of the water produced is related to the water pressure which can vary.

BOTTLED WATER -- Probably the most common alternative to common tap
water is bottled water. So the question we need to address is: "Does
bottled water contain less impurities and have more benefits than tap
water?"

According to a report from the State of California Assembly
Legislature a report dated March 4, 1985 indicated that California
was the leading bottled water consumer in the nation. "Under current
quality standards, bottled water or vended water is not guaranteed to
be a safe and wholesome product. Yet many consumers are paying 1,000
times the cost of tap water for that guarantee."

For more important information regarding "Bottled Water: Pure Drink
or Pure Hype." Go to the following website:

www.nrdc.org/water/drinking/bw/bwinx.asp

[NOTE: Dr.
Herlacher is aware of the many problems associated with the radical
National Resources Defense Council; he has checked their findings on
water independently and has found their assertions in this instance
to be true].

"Bottled water sold in the United States is not necessarily cleaner
or safer than most tap water", according to a four year scientific
study made public by the (N.R.D.C) Natural Resources Defense Council.
[March, 1999]

N.R.D.C s study included testing of more than 1,000 bottles of 103
brands of bottled water. While most of the waters tested were found
to be of high quality, some brands were contaminated: about one-third
of the waters tested contained levels of contamination--- including
synthetic organic chemicals; bacteria, and arsenic.

A key N.R.D.C finding is that bottled water regulations are
inadequate to assure consumers of either purity or safety, although
both federal government and the states supposedly have bottled water
safety programs. Even when bottled waters are covered by the F.D.A. s
rules they are subject to less rigorous testing and purity standards
than those which apply to city tap water.

In fact, about one-fourth of bottled water is actually bottled tap
water, according to government and industry estimates; some estimates
of tap water go as high as 40%. The marketing of bottled water is
designed to convince the public that bottled water is pure and safe.
Once again, we have the scenario where the government is actually
protecting the very industry they are supposed to be regulating.

ACTIVATED CARBON FILTERS -- Activated carbon filters are one of the
more popular low-cost home "water purifiers." The primary function of
an activated carbon filter is to remove those toxic chemicals that we
hear about in the headlines or on the evening news. The activated
carbon contained in the filter works like an "electrical sponge",
removing chlorine, pesticides, chloroform, chlorinated hydrocarbons,
solvents and other man-made chemicals which may occur in varying
amounts in drinking water.

Activated carbon filters come in two basic configurations:

Loose Granular---this granular carbon filter has channels which the
water may flow through without removal of the contaminants. Since the
water will take the path of least resistance the contaminant may not
stay in contact long enough with the carbon to be removed.

Solid Block---the pressed carbon filter is solid without channels
therefore functions as a physical filter in addition to the "chemical
effect."

Of these two configurations, the pressed solid block carbon filter is
the most effective.

DISTILLED WATER -- Distilled water acts as a solvent in the body. It
dissolves inorganic mineral substances, acid crystals and all other
waste products so that these can be eliminated in the process of
purifying the body.

As distilled water enters the body, it picks up mineral deposits
accumulated in the joints, artery walls, or wherever such deposits
occur, and begins to carry them out. Gallstones and kidney stones
decrease until they can safely pass through their ducts. Arthritic
pains lessen as joints become more supple and movable.

Distilled water has the inherent characteristics of a magnet which
picks up discarded minerals, and with the assistance of the blood
and the lymph, transports them to the kidneys for elimination. It is
this kind of mineral elimination that is erroneously referred to as
leaching; the expression that distilled water leaches minerals from
the body is inaccurate. It does not leach out body minerals; it
collects and removes inorganic minerals which have been rejected by
the cells and tissues, and which if not evacuated can cause arterial
obstruction and serious damage.

Odorless, colorless and tasteless, distilled water contains no solid
matter of any kind, no minerals, organic or inorganic, and is made
solely of the two gases, hydrogen and oxygen. It can be used as a
drinking water, for cooking, for electric irons and batteries, and is
so pure it is used for intravenous feeding, inhalation therapy,
prescriptions and baby formulas.

SUMMARY

The key facts we want you to understand from this article are these:

1. Our governments, federal and state, have been aware of these
terrible health problems related to drinking and bottled water for
the past 40 years. Yet, they have not been effective in correcting
these problems. In the meantime, people are ingesting water every day
of their lives, and are getting more and more pollutants in their
bodies. Many of these pollutants take a very long time -- 20-40
years -- to develop in a person's body to the point where the person
may die. And, many of the autopsies of such victims will list another
cause that will take the attention off the real culprit -- our
polluted water.

2. The pollutants of which we have been speaking can take 20 to 40
years to begin killing people. One day, millions of people may be
getting sick and dying of a host of seemingly unrelated diseases and
illnesses. The only common denominator will be that the various
ailments which are killing people have taken 20 to 40 years to develop
